 After a traumatic first birth with my eldest daughter, I hired Emma to assist with my goal of experiencing a VBAC. Although I was required to have another emergency c-section after three days of labour, I was able to walk away feeling empowered and positive about the experience. This was gifted to me by Emma's expertise to gently hold space for me to reflect, unpack and process my thoughts and feelings about my previous birth whilst clarifying my goals for the birth ahead.

Emma assisted me to develop a clear and concise birth plan with things I had not considered and provided unfailing support during the pregnancy as I faced hurdles. During the labour, Emma’s presence was invaluable as she encouraged me to take the time to decide on options available allowing me to feel a sense of control. She empowered me to have a clear and strong voice to advocate for my wishes. 

Emma assisted to make my labour space safe and comfortable and held my hand during every contraction. With her support and guidance, I have come to realise that it wasn’t so much about experiencing a VBAC as such rather it was about gaining my power and control back and curating a birth experience with important moments and experiences along the way – things of which I didn’t experience or consider during my first birth attributing to birth trauma. This is testament to Emma’s dedication to assist women to envisage and achieve a different birth experience.

She takes care of YOU which can sometimes be forgotten amongst the craziness of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I can’t recommend Emma’s services more highly and will forever be grateful for her.
